What Boddy collects, why, for how long, and your rights.
BODDY IA INC. ("Boddy") designs and operates software for construction and rental management businesses in Quebec and Ontario.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: William St-Aubin, President, reachable at confidentialite@boddyai.com or 819-507-0878.
| When | What we collect | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| You fill out a form on the site (call, demo, contact) | Name, email, phone, company, portfolio size, province, what you write to us, the page and campaign you came from (utm parameters), your consent and its wording | Reply to you and present the offer you asked about; prove your consent (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation) | 24 months after our last exchange, then destroyed; proof of consent or withdrawal kept 3 years |
| You book a call | Name, email, chosen date (through Microsoft's booking service) | Hold the meeting | Length of the business relationship |
| You become a client | Company and contact details, contract, invoices, payments | Provide the service, invoice, meet our tax obligations | Length of the contract, then 6 years for accounting records (tax requirement) |
| You use the platform (a client's employee) | Name, email, role, sign-in and activity logs, second authentication factor | Secure your access, prove who did what, provide support | Length of the client's contract, then destroyed with its cell |
| You visit the site | IP address and technical data in the host's logs | Run and protect the site | Per the host's retention policy |
We only collect what is necessary. We never sell your information and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
Boddy's site uses no advertising tracker or audience measurement tool as of the date of this policy. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which sends your IP address to Google. The app demo stores its fake data in your browser only (local storage); nothing is sent to us. If we ever add a measurement or profiling tool, it will be off by default and you will be able to turn it on yourself.
Only with the providers we need, bound by contract:
Some of these providers are outside Quebec or Canada. They are bound by contract and may only use your information to provide their service to us; they may be subject to the laws of their country.
We only write to sell you something with your consent (box checked voluntarily) or where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation allows it. Every message lets you unsubscribe in one click; we process your request within 10 business days at most.
You may, free of charge:
Write to the person in charge of the protection of personal information (above). We reply within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Are you a tenant or a rental applicant? Your information is managed by your landlord or property manager, not by Boddy. Send your request to them; if they bring it to us, we help them answer it.
We protect information with measures suited to its sensitivity: encryption, two-factor authentication, access limited to those who need it, backups in Canada. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and the people affected, and we record every incident in a register.
Boddy makes no decision about you based exclusively on automated processing. In the platform, the AI assistant prepares drafts; a person at the client approves before any formal message is sent.
We post any change on this page, with its date. Significant changes are announced to clients by email.
